Universal Truth Part 01

Time is driving us to death. At the time of writing, time is taking our lives to death. Our life is like a drop of water placed on the grass, it dries up in the sun. "It simply came to our notice then.

Our lives are like a waterfall. A waterfall never falls slowly and our life goes fast towards death. Like a bully who takes our lives. Every step of the bull leads to death. Our lives are like that bull's footsteps. Like all of those events, we all approach our death. It happened every moment. Every day, week, month and year at the end of the year we are approaching our death. Every step we took, every step we took, led to death. No one can stop our journey to death. Here we meet each other,

You all came here to learn something new. Is there a house? Yes. The house has a shape. But there really is no home. How do you know there is no home? After you break down the house into different parts, do you see the same house? If you can not see the original house after that, it means there is no real house. A house is a collection of materials. Is there a house after the roof is removed? No. Is there a house with the walls removed? No. If so, sponsors breaking things down into smaller pieces is the method we can use to identify the true existence of everything. If you can divide things into different parts in any other way, that is not the universal truth. So, grace, the universal truth cannot be crushed or shattered. If there is an indivisible, unbreakable nature, then it is the universal truth and it really exists. That's true, it exists.

So, if anything can be broken or shattered, it means that it really does not exist.

See when I write, the chalk breaks into small pieces. Can't we crush this lime? Yes. we can. This is not just chalk. It's the same for everything. We take a lotus flower. Now I take the pills out of it. Can you now call it the Lotus? No lots of lotus petals. It used to be called a lotus but now there is no flower.

There are so many petals now, we take these lotus petals. Once broken into small pieces you will not see the slices. If so, is there a lotus flower now? No. So do you have this lotus flower? It does not exist and it is not a universal truth. Why? If something can be broken it is not a universal truth. It's just what we see. But here we learn about the universal truth.

Can our body be divided into different parts? Yes. We can remove our hair and nails. We can remove the skin. If so, our body does not belong to real existence, and we can remove various parts of the body. If we take our nails, can we break them into small pieces? Yes. we can. If so, that too is not a universal truth. So if we can break, divide, crush something in this world, it is not a universal truth. But here we learn about the universal truth. Here we are going to learn about the universal truth that cannot be broken, divided or crushed.

If we take the lotus petal, it is a collection of "Original / Pure Eight (" Suddhashtaka). How do we feel here when we touch the lotus leaf? It has signs of stiffness. Is there no water in this? it is there. So, the water element is there. Is there a color in this? Yes. There is a pink color. Therefore, patrons, in the primordial nature there is' earth element (patavi) ',' water element (apo) ',' fire element (thejo) ',' wind element (vayo) ',' colors (colors). ',' Scent (scent) ',' Taste (taste) 'and' Oja (nutrition) '. All of these are present in every physical object.

For example, 'Sigiriya Rock' is dominated by the Earth element. Can we see the color here? Yes. If so, can it show us anything other than intensity and color? No. Therefore, no material object in this world can deviate from the eight or multiples of those minimum constituents. 'Earth Element (Patavi)', 'Water Element (Apo)', 'Fire Element (Thejo)', 'Wind Element (Vayo)', 'Color (Color)', 'Smell (Smell)', 'Taste (Taste) ) 'And' Oja (nutrition) '. Therefore, sponsors, these "original / pure eight (" saints) are meeting in the space element. Although assembled, there is limited space (chapter space). Due to limited space, the two sets of "original / pure eight" ("white") do not overlap. If we take 'The lotus petals come out of a lotus flower, which means it moves away from a limited space (chapter space). So any physical object in this world can be broken. What if I hit this pot on the ground? Then it will break. It will move away from the limited space. But can we see this with our own eyes? No. As you know, we cannot see electrons, protons and neutrons. These eight are smaller than electrons / protons and neutrons. Therefore, we do not see these minimal components. We do not see electrons, protons and neutrons. These eight are smaller than electrons / protons and neutrons. Therefore, we do not see these minimal components. We do not see electrons, protons and neutrons. These eight are smaller than electrons / protons and neutrons. Therefore, we do not see these minimal components.

Therefore, any material object has at least these eight constituent parts / properties. You know about the tsunami disaster that came to our country. Which of the four elements is the pure element in the sea? The water-element is the most prevalent of the "original / pure eight (" pure) elements. The Buddha did not preach the distribution of individual elements as a percentage. Every material object has everything, even at different levels of force. Will show the highest obtaining strength. Most of the "original / pure eight" (pure) oceans in the oceans are composed of water elements. So we can see it as a liquidity. What will the tsunami do to hotels in Koggala, Hambantota and Galle? That hotel was devastated by the tsunami. But sponsors, can water break things?

There is a way to know that we cannot see "Original/Pure eight ("Suddhashtakaya) for our eye. As an example, there is a sand mountain. Does it a sand mountain or a collection of sands? We call a collection of sands as a sand mountain. If we want we can take sand by sand out. Therefore, patrons, any visual object ('Corporeality (Roopa) is a collection of 'Shudhdhashtaka. We can remove part by part as there is limited space (Parichcheda Awakashaya).

If so, how many 'Paramartha Dharma are there? There are eight as ‘Earth-element (Patawi)’, ‘Water-element (Apo)’, ‘Fire-element (Thejo)’, ‘Wind-element (Wayo)', 'Warna (Colors)', 'Odor (Smells)', 'Rasa (Taste)' and 'Oja (Nutriment)'. Any large visual object also cannot go beyond this eight and it is a universal truth.

Therefore 'Earth-element available here cannot break. Therefore it is a universal truth/'paramartha dharma. If so, patrons our nails, hair, and skin are a collection of "Original/Pure eight ("Suddhashtakaya).

If we look at our skin via a microscope, you can see that a dust kind of thing is removing continuously. Therefore, patrons, this skin is a collection of 'Shudhdhashtaka though it's there as one thing. So, who is sitting over here? You are also a collection of "Original/Pure eight ("Suddhashtakaya). Who is writing this sermon? It is also a collection of 'Shudhdhashtaka. It is a universal truth.

Here, I'm taking some examples from my village.

'Disna Aunts home located in our neighbor village. We call her "Village Disna. However, "Disna got a chance to go to 'London. Now everyone calls her 'London Disna. When she was returning to Sri Lanka, she cannot remember some 'Sinhalese terms. Now people call her 'Posh Disna. She went 'Saudi, and now she is 'Saudi Disna. But she was 'Disna though she lived in any location.

Will keep her details aside for a moment.

Now there is a "Sitha (Mind), it names as 'Vinnana (Consciousness) in 'Pali. There are some 'Pali words as 'Chitta (Mind), 'Mana, 'Hada, and 'Pandara. There are ten names for 'Sitha in 'Pali. So, every name is talking about "Sitha (Mind). In "English language also there are many names for "Sitha (Mind). There are ten names in 'Pali language as I explained early. However, you don't have to remember those names. However, mainly three names can hear in preaching as 'Vinnana (Consciousness), 'Chitta (Mind), and 'Mana. So, here we are talking about 'Sitha (Mind).

Why there are ten names for "Sitha (Mind)? Though we say 'Vinnana (Consciousness), we are talking about "Sitha (Mind). According to our previous example, though she went to wherever, she was "Disna. But she is more powerful when she was living in "London than in her village."Disna changed her shape and appearance from place to place. It is same for "Sitha (Mind) as well. "Sitha (Mind) is also getting changed from place to place.

there are many mothers and fathers. Do you behave the way you do now at home? No. Right. As an example, there is a different person when you are observing Sil, going for a wedding, going on a trip to Singapore, and listening to 'Abhidharmaya. However, your self was there though you went anywhere. You changed your dress as well according to the location/event. "Sitha (Mind) is also the same. It is also changing its shape from place to place.

Lord Buddha pointed out ten different shapes of "Sitha (Mind) as" Vinnana (Consciousness), 'Chitta (Mind),' Mana, 'Hada, "Pandara," Thajja, "Mano-Vinnana-dhatu, and" Vinnana-dhathu .

There was a funeral in our village, and it was the funeral of a grandfather. His death and birth have mentioned in the death note. What happened to that grandfather. He was born and died. What happened in the time between birth and death? He was living.

If so, that grandfather has three opportunities as "Birth, "Death and "Live. So, patrons, this is another death note. In between birth and death, he did not live actually. His life restricted to education. However, he was a bright student. But he passed away with the Tsunami tragedy. The entire family vanished with that disaster.

Did he have a long life than that grandfather? That grandfather lived in a hundred years, and he lived in 17 years. Did he have a long life than that grandfather? That grandfather lived in a hundred years, and he lived in 17 years. There was a kid I know, and he lived in one year. So, this kid was the one who lived in little time out of these three.

As little ones, we were playing with soap bubbles. That soap bubble does not live in one year even. They disappeared as soon as possible they born. If so, the soap bubble had the shortest time out of these four.

All of these four examples has common characteristics as birth, death, and living. Can anyone get rid of from these situations? No. One person lives a long life than the other. If so, patrons who do have the shortest life duration?

This is a really nice example pointed out by Lord Buddha. Lord Buddha explained it via a nice incident. There are four well capable of archers. There was a minister called 'Bandula'. He could use one arrow and kill the owners of those carts, after keeping the five hundred carts in one line. So the speed of that arrow is more powerful than a bullet. So, these four also have the same skills as him. They located in four different directions by keeping their bow and arrows. So, patrons, these four arrows focused on four different directions according to one order. It happened in a one moment and those four arrows speeder than a bullet. There is one person in the middle. He could catch those four arrows without falling. If so, does this person can run well or not? He could run well. We cannot think about his running speed, which taken to catch one arrow even.

Lord Buddha questioned monks asking 'Does there anything faster than his running speed? No. Lord Buddha preached that the spinning speed of this earth is faster than the speed of that runner. The name of this preach is "Dhanuggaha Soothraya. One of my friends said that it was 900 Km per the second speed. However, I don't know the exact numbers. Lord Buddha preached that there is another faster thing than the spinning speed of the earth. It is the governor god of this earth. However, I know that it is a bit difficult for you to believe this 'God.Have you ever seen vitamins in dhal? But you accept that dhal consists of vitamins though you cannot see. But you are reluctant to accept this preach. However, this is a kind of duty, with that power. Once his time over he has to leave. The vehicle he is using for that duty has a powerful speed than the spinning speed of the earth. How can we understand this? Let's say now we are riding a bike. The maximum speed would be 60 or 70 Km per hour. So, patrons, can't you go 120 km within that period using a BMW vehicle if you want? In here also, this god can go faster than the spinning speed of the earth if he wants. The governor god of the moon has a higher speed than the moon. However, the sun can be moving around itself within a shorter time than this god. The governor god of the sun is faster than the sun. If so, out of all these things, the governor god of the sun has the highest speed.

Lord Buddha pointed us that our life is running out fastly than that highest speed. Our life time is running out very fastly. So, patrons, Lord Buddha preached these many incidents with comparisons to point out how do our lives are taking towards death.

So, patrons, according to the previous examples we took earlier, our mind (Sitha) has the shortest duration than the lifetimes of grandfather, the person who died via the Tsunami tragedy, small kid, and the soap bubble.

Lord Buddha preached that mind has three main situations even it has a very short lifetime. Those are "Birth, "Death, and "Live. Everyone has those three things including that grandfather, young guy, kid, and soap bubble including mind, though it has the shortest life duration.

Lord Buddha preached these three as "Genetic (Uppada), "Static (Thiti), and "Dissolving (Bhanga) in "Pali language.

So, we can say that grandfather lived in a hundred years, that young boy lived in 17 years, and that kid lived in one year. We can say that the soap bubble's lifetime was 1/10 seconds. But patrons, Lord Buddha does not have a time unit to tell about the lifetime duration of mind. It cannot measure via the seconds even.
The time duration of "mind (Sitha) has three stages as "Genetic (Uppada), "Static (Thiti), and "Dissolving (Bhanga). That time unit named as one "Consciousness-moment (Chithth-kkhanayak).

So how many stages are there for one "Consciousness-moment (Chithth-kkhana)? Three and those are "Genetic (Uppada), "Static (Thiti), and "Dissolving (Bhanga). If so, patrons, the shortest time unit in this world is one "Consciousness-moment (Chithth-kkhanayak).
Lord Buddha preached that our mind ("Sitha) is birthing and passing away/dissappearing ("Nirudhdha) for lakhs of billions of times during the time of one blink of an eye of a healthy human being. So, patrons, consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana) have been birthing and passing away/dissappearing ("Nirudhdha) for lakhs of billions of times during the time of one blink of an eye.

However, you don't have to remember these numbers, and I'm giving these details for your information only. So, is that possible for you to think about something which is going through a rapid causing and losing current? Though normal humans can't capture, these things are not difficult for the wisdom of Lord Buddha.Still, I have not taught about the mind ("Sitha). You may understand how many shapes are there for this consciousness-moment ("Chithth-kkhanayak), and we can't imagine even.
Is so, patrons one consciousness-moment ("Chithth-kkhanayak) is the life duration of a mind ("Sitha). According to our previous example, that grandfather has three stages as "Birth, "Live, and "Death during his lifetime. As well as one consciousness-moment ("Chithth-kkhanayak) has three stages as "Birth, "Live, and "Death. That is the smallest time duration in this world.
So, patrons, what will happen to us if our mind ("Sitha) left us? We cannot ask to stay. After that, there is no point of feeding or bathing our body. There are no further stories about body once our mind left us.

There is something like this. We have seen fire balls in the procession. It links to a wire, and when it is spinning fastly, it looks like a circle like this. Now you cannot see a fire ball, and you can see a fire circle. However, is there a real fire circle? No. There is no fire circle in real. So, patrons, what is this magic? The fireball takes a short time to come to this endpoint, and we can see it as a fire circle because it happened in a short time.In reality, the fire ball keeps in one place at one moment only. As well as we think that we have the same mind ("Sitha) that we had in our childhood. No. That mind ("Sitha) passed away/disappeared ("Nirudhdhayi) at that moment. Now do you have the same mind ("Sitha) that you had before? No. It also went out ("Nirudhdhayi).
As our mind ("Sitha) is arising and passing away/disappering ("Nirudhdha) for lakhs of billions of time during a one eye blink, we don't have the same mind which had a few minutes before. If so, patrons, our life is a minds string. Because of it's higher speed, we think that we have the same mind ("Sitha). If there is a thing that cannot believe in this world, that is our mind.

Why? Because it is arising and passing away/disappearing ("Nirudhdha) very fastly. If so, you are not the one who was in childhood. Yes. That is you are. But not exactly you. It seems like a weird situation. Why? Because it is arising and passing away/disappearing ("Nirudhdha) very fastly. If so, you are not the one who was in childhood. Yes. That is you are. But not exactly you. It seems like a weird situationSo, there is me here, and I'm a result of my parents. My father is a result of my grandparents, and they are a result of their ancestors.

Can you call me as my father? No. My father is not me. But my father has not separated from me also. Though I'm not him, I belong his model. As well as I'm coming from his generation. Though we cannot call my father as the grandfather, he is coming from that generation too..As same as that example, we do not have the mind ("Sitha) which we had in our childhood. But it relates to that mind ("Sitha). So, our life is a generation of minds ("Sith). You cannot get the childhood mind ("Sitha), and the one you have today won't exist in next week though it relates to each other. Sometimes you won't understand this now, and you will catch up it later.
So, patrons, "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) is the shortest unit among the material objects in this world. There is eight minimal constituent parts/qualities; ‘Earth-element (Patawi) ’, ‘Water-element (Apo)’, ‘Fire-element (Thejo)’, ‘Wind-element (Wayo)’, 'Warna (Colors)', 'Odor (Smells)', 'Rasa (Taste)' and 'Oja (Nutriment)'.
Lord Buddha preached that this small unit "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) also arising in the space ("Awakashaye). As same as for other things, this also has a death. It lives between birth and death. However, it has a little bit long life duration than mind ("Sitha).
Though it lives a little more time than mind ("Sitha), that time also cannot be measured via seconds, minutes, or days. It lives in 17 more times than the time duration of mind ("Sitha). As a life duration of mind ("Sitha) equals to one consciousness-moment ("Chithth-kkhanayak), the life duration of this equals to 17 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana).This births within this 17 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana). It births in the first moment, and die in the seventeenth moment. So, it lives in 15 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana). However, as soon as this born, it gets changing by reducing its power during this 15 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana).So, patrons, Lord Buddha preached that this arises and disappears/pass away within the seventeenth consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana). It lives in 15 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana). During the time it lives for 15 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana), the power gets reducing gradually, and reaching to death. If so, changing is the heritage that obliged to have from the time it born. We cannot stop.So does getting old/decaying ("Jaraa) luxury thing or a painful thing?
It becomes the state of suffering ("Dukkhata) in every moment when it gets changing. As well as Lord Buddha preached that there is no medicine to keep its lifetime for 18 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana).
As well as this is a "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya), and anything cannot be disturbed. As well as nothing can kill it within 15 or 16 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana) and, that is its nature. As well as it does not live for 18 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana).
As an example, the nature of a river is, it is flowing from top to bottom. A waterfall also does not flow from bottom to top.So, "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) is getting changed from the time it born. Therefore changing is the main factor that a "Shudhdhashtaka has. This named as "Impermanence ("Anichcha). As well as patrons, Lord Buddha preached that "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) has another nature. It becomes the state of suffering ("Dukkhata) in every moment when it gets changing. It called as "Suffer/Pain ("Dukkhan)."Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) has another nature, and that cannot handle or control by anything. It cannot keep as we wished. That nature called as "Egolessness/impersonality ("Anathma).
So, patrons, the lifetime of a "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) is 17 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana). It has three periods as "Birth, "Live, and "Death. It arises in the first moment, and disappears/pass away in the seventeenth moment by living 15 moments while keep on changing. However, though it has more life duration than mind ("sitha), it cannot get rid of from three characteristics of existence ("ti-lakkhana); "Impermanence ("Anichcha), Suffering ("Dukkha), "Egolessness/impersonality ("Anathma).
This earth mostly consists of "earth-element ("Patawi-dhatu) related "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtaka). This sea mostly consists of "water-element ("Apo-dhatu) related "Shudhdhashtaka. The wind mostly consists of "wind-element ("Wayo-dhatu) related "Shudhdhashtaka.

So, patrons, as the lifetime of a "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) is 17 consciousness-moments ("Chithth-kkhana), arising and passing away/disappearing is the nature of this earth. The lifetime of a mind ("Sithaka) is one consciousness-moment ("Chithth-kkhanayak), and it is birthing and passing away ("Nirudhdha) for lakhs of billions of time during a one eye blink. So, patrons, now you can think about how many times a "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya) is arising and passing away/disappearing ("Niruddha) during the time of one eye blink.
So, patrons, this earth is a collection of "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtaka), and it is same for our bodies also. Therefore, our bodies also get arising and passing away ("Athiweema Saha Nathiweema). So, if we take this body, it is a collection of "Original/Pure eight ("Shudhdhashtakaya). Arising and passing away/disappearing is the nature of this body. It is always changing, and there is nobody to get rid of the body from that situation. Therefore "Suffer/Pain ("Dukkhan) is the other characteristic of the body.
As well as nobody can control or handle this situation. Therefore the "Egolessness/impersonality ("Anathma) is the other characteristic of this body. Everything in the universes including our body belongs to three characteristics of existence ("ti-lakkhana); "Impermanence ("Anichcha), Suffering ("Dukkha), "Egolessness/impersonality ("Anathma). That's because of the short time it lives.

So, what does the meaning of living? It is using of minds. The mind ("Sitha) you had on the first day of class won't birth again at all. If so patrons, The lifetime of that mind ("Sitha) has one "Consciousness-moment (Chithth-kkhanayak). It is arising and passing away for lakhs of billions of time during a one eye-blink. So, patrons, what does disappear after a lakhs of billions of time. It is our life. That means our life is passing away. That is why Lord Buddha preached to Bhikkhus that life is passing away very fast because of that speed. The mind ("Sitha) is going on that journey by keep on changing. Then taught you that the smallest unit is "Shudhdhashtakaya (Pure eight) in this material world.

So there are eight different characteristics of the earth element (Patavi), the water element (Apo), the fire element (Thejo), the wind element (Vayo) 'and the' color '. , 'Fragrance', 'taste (taste)' and 'oja (nutrition)' .However, it has a longer lifespan than the mind ("sita) but it lives a short time. -Kkhanai) Our body is made up of the "Pure Eight" and the whole earth is a collection of the Pure Eight.
